i'm currently using CPUgenie 1.3. Its a great software but it crashes sometimes on start up but other than that it does its job.. problem is that there is only a 30 day trial? Is there anyway to extend the trial? Also can someone recommend me a similar software? i know that Crystal CPUID is one but i don't know how to use it. Is there a guide on how to use it? Also are there any other undervolting softwares?
Thanks.

RMclock is great to use

Problem is T9400 has half multipliers (9.5X) and to make RM clock to recognise that i need to do registary changes and i don't want to do that. Somemore that program is obsolete as it doesn't get updated.

Ah fairy nuff. In that case I think Crystal Cpuid is your best and possibly only free bet. I haven't used it yet however so can't give adice on how it works. Might give it a try though rmclock won't let me undervolt below 1.0125V on my Q9650 I want sub 1V for battery operation

The problem is that i don't know how to use crystal CPUID otheriwse i would be using that. Can anyone tell me how to use that software?

if u spent to time to look around you would find guides out there

its for the g51 but follow the same instructions (u gotta scroll down a bit to get to undervolting) -
any other software?

Notebook Hardware Control allows for undervolting the CPU and it is easy to use; unfortunately it also comes with a lot of other power management features. It's not as light-weight.

but isn't it also old and not updated.. the last time i had it it it showed updated in 2006 and didn't work... isn't there some new free undervolting program?

A new, free, lightweight, easy-to-use undervolting program? Afraid not.

I'm using crystal CPUID... in the 3 voltages , Max Middle and Min , which multiplier to use? I know that max is 9.5x and min is 6.0x... so what about middle?
-
middle one doesnt rly matter since your cpu is mostly at either high or low
just set it to a value about at the middle -

And yes, undervolting only really matters for the max multiplier. The CPU is rarely at the middle multiplier, and at the min multiplier, the voltage is lower anyway (so is the clock speed), and not much heat is generated. -
The problem with CrystalCPUID is that it is casuing massive voltage changes when idle.. i don't have any of those problems with CPUGenie... so how? also in CPUgenie i have the option to change the super LM Voltage.. looks like i'm stuck to use CPUgenie some way or other.
