I have an Asus n80vm (the best buy special) that has served me well so far. My only real complaint is the small screen resolution of 1280x800. While it looks like there are a number of 14.1" 1440x900 Asus screens available, none have an led backlight. Would it be possible for me to purchase a 1440x900 ccfl screen and swap the backlight with my current led screen?

My guess would be no. Generally LEDs and CFFLs use different inverters and cables. They are not compatible unless someone cares to prove me wrong?
