If all goes according to plan, I will finally be able to upgrade my computer to a shiny new workstation this fall. However, before I get the new parking space on my desk all decked out and ready, I like to know a few things:
First, if I order with the optical bay empty will I be able to plug and play with my own devices, or do I need to get the drive included then replace it with something more signification to my needs? In other words, does an empty bay still come configured with all the connections and ready to go?
The same applies for RAM. Do I need it loaded with all slots full for it to be ready or can I get one slot then fill up the rest with my own RAM? I'd like to save money where I can, but don't want to have to "build" anything to make the thing work.

Yes and yes. ODD bay is ready to put in your own drive, be it another HDD or a SSD or ODD. For a HDD or SSD you would need a caddy, which you could order with the computer. The connections will be ready to go in any event. As for the ram, empty slots are also ready to go with add it your self RAM, as long as the added RAM is compatible.

One more thing: RAID capability. I assume I'll still have to order the identical drives for it to be configured? Then could I simply replace the 320 GB OEMs with identical 750 GB drives?
