I am considering upgrading my current notebook (Acer Extensa 5620Z)
from the CPU of a damaged Sony Vaio (VGN-CR190-CTO). I understood from reading up from various places that it should be do-able. The Sony has a T7500 2.2 GHz whereas my Acer has a T2390 1.83 GHz.

Any pointers to what I need to do, very useful would be dis-assembly guides to the Extensa 5620 and the Vaio CR190. Also I am putting CPUz dumps of the Vaio and the Extensa in attachments.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes its a compatible upgrade. Just make sure you update to the latest BIOS on your Extensa.
