I want to upgrade my wife's MSI A6200-038US CPU (Intel i3-330M) to an i5-580M. My research indicates that the i3-330M is a socket G1 / Socket rPGA988A, but CPUZ indicates a socket 989 instead. According to CPU-World, compatible CPUs include some of the i7 M CPUs (i7-640M).

Anyone knows if an i5-580M would be compatible with the MB in this laptop?

    Thanks!
