Can I install CPU the Intel Core2 Quad Q9100 on HP dv7-1160er laptop?
After installing the processor Q9100, the laptop does not start. (fan spinning, motherboard flashing)

Does changelog for the bios update include something like "microcode update" or "support for new CPUs" and is the latest bios update dated after the release date of the mobile C2 quads?

severely curtailed company HP.
When I turn on laptop the screen black , the BIOS does not start. I read that I need to remove a few leg on CPU.
then the motherboard will start ....
