    I'm using Compaq presario 2500 series (2583AT) and process by celeron 2.8 GHz. Can I upgrade to pentium IV 2.8 GHz ? What do I must done for upgrade ?

    most likely you're able to upgrade it; a lot of laptops have that option since the processors are socketable, which means you can switch out processors. However, buying a faster processor is not worth it. You're better off upgrading your ram or hard drive. You won't see much of an improvement with the processor as compared to ram or a HD. Plus, you might run the risk of overheating your laptop because fast speeds = more heat.
