    Hello,

I just order my first laptop, E1505 and i wonder if the ram and harddisk are easy to access and upgrade. Will other brand of ram fit into the provided slot?

    Thanks,

    dioscorea

Yes, it is pretty easy to access the memory sa well as the hard drive bays. The Dell Service Manual should give you the instructions on how to upgrade/replace the memory and hard drive.

You can use any brand of RAM(best to buy a reputable name like Crucial, Kingston, Corsair, OCZ). They should be compatible as long as they have the correct specifications and there arent any finicky BIOS issues.

Make sure you have the correct size of RAM too

i would also buy yout upgrades off of Newegg, since they're very reliable, and have great prices
