I'm seriously considering to upgrade my notebook LCD panel from WXGA+ (1440x900) to WSXGA+ (1680x1050).

Do you know if the Dell Inspiron 9300 is upgradeable to a 1680x1050 (LP171WE2)?

The mode name of my LCD monitor is LP171WX2(TL)(A2).
My inverter has a label which says:
    LP171WX2-B4K1
    LP171WU1-A4K5
    6632L-0091C
    YPNL-N017C

I looked at the specifications and both have the same value for some features: Outline Dimension, Thickness and Interface. The only difference is the weight. The LP171WX2 is 30g heavier. Other crucial information is the power consumption, I don't know if it's equal.

    Thanks in advanced.
