Hi there, I've had this laptop for two years and am thinking it might be nice to get a bit of an upgrade to it... I'm not sure how much can be done and whatnot, so I figured I'd come here to ask. Here's my main questions:

    1. Would it even be worth it to upgrade? (Or more worth it to buy new?)

    2. Do those laptop cooler deals actually work? (They plug into USB and hook to the bottom of laptop I think?)

    3. Would it be possible to over-clock this laptop?

    4. Would it be safe/worth it to over-clock this laptop?

You can find specs to my laptop at this site: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c00308258

Also if you all could, please visit my other post, regarding what laptop I should buy if I do decide to buy new: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=2076478#post2076478

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me :D

CPU upgrades are typically impossible to do by much, and I don't think a dual core processor would work. That laptop never had a dual core, and I'm sure the BIOS couldn't handle it.

RAM and HDDs can be upgraded relatively easily, and a RAM upgrade would get you a small boost in speed.

    Graphics cards are not upgradeable.

    1) Worth it? Probably not, as the performance impact will be small.
    2) Some do, some don't.
    3) No...laptop BIOS do not allow for it.
    4) Again, no OCing.

Graphics cards do overclock, but in your case I do not think it will help much if at all.
