    I just wanted to know if it is possible to upgrade the ram of the macbook pro 2013 retina version me293 series later on?

    Retina = non upgradeable RAM and that's all there is to it.

    Retinas or Airs = no RAM upgrade path, many can not even get an aftermarket SSD yet.
