    Hi All
upgrade T5500 Bus 667 Mhz For T7500 800 Mhz Bus
I Wonder If I Can Upgrade My Laptop
    Chipset : Intel 945 Gm
    Cpu : T5500 Sl9u4
    Bus Speed : 667 Mhz
    Cache :2 Mb
    To Replace It By :
    Cpu : T7500 Slaf8
    Bus Speed : 800 Mhz
    Cache : 4 Mb
I Selected The T7500 And Not The T7400 For It Is Much Cheaper !!
Will The T7500 Runs Slower On My Bus ?
Or It Might Not Work At All ?
    Thanks

You asked this a while back in your other thread.
    The answer is the same

    The T5500 is a socket M processor
    The T7500 is a socket P processor

They have a different socket, and they are electrically incompatible

Your only cpu upgrade options are:
    T5600, T7200, T7400, T7600

What K said, but I'd also like to add that there won't be a very significant speed increase in your upgrade.

There is no processor with a bus faster higher than 667MHz for Socket M. So, no.
