I have a samsung x360 laptop with a 13.3" 1280x800 screen (LTN133AT04) and this laptop is perfect for me except for the terrible vertical viewing angles on the screen. This screen doesn't have a sweet spot, if I angle the sceen so blacks are just right at the top of the screen the bottom looks badly faded, if I angle the screen so the bottom is just right, colours invert at the top.

I've replaced laptop lcds before and it's quite easy but I've never "upgraded" to a different screen. I'm hoping someone can tell me how to determine if a screen would be compatible (or which screens are compatible if anyone knows). I"m also wondering if anyone can recommend a good quality (with good vertical viewing angles) 13.3" 1280x800 led backlit lcd.

I basically need to find a worthy replacement lcd and then find out if it's compatible.

Just as an experiment to see what would happen I hooked up a cracked (but working) mackbook air lcd to see if it would work. The screen worked fine but the backlight didn't work which still leaves me thinking that there must be some compatible screens out there.
