    what would be a great ssd for the alienwarem14x i was thinking between crucial c300 or m4?

    I'd go m4 over the C300. Both are great solid drives, but the M4 is all around a bit faster. The M4 also tends to be cheaper, at least in the US...must be due to the smaller NAND in the M4.

    Get whatever is cheaper for the size you need to be honest unless you want benchmarks to brag, otherwise it doesn't matter much. Maybe battery life is another consideration.

    which one consumes more power? I was planning on doing ssd + hdd so wouldn't the power consumption be the same?

    Pretty similar. I haven't noticed a major change in my system's battery life since adding the SSD.
