I have been reading up on the 520 series and it seems fantastic! On paper, it is seemingly twice as fast as my current 320 series.

I know some will say an SSD is an SSD. I probably might not feel the performance increase realistically. But I hope you guys can give me some advice on this. Is it an overkill? The 520 Series is definitely within my price range. I am just concerned on whether it will be money well spent.

    Thanks in advance!

Unless you copy data 24/7, most people cannot tell the difference between 500 read and 240 read...but the money IMO is not well spent.

One other thought, would this be going into your ASUS G53SW? Does that machine have a SATA III port? If the machine is only SATA II capable, you might not see as much of the performance improvement as you think because the drive will be capped at SATA II speeds.

I would only upgrade if you want more space. The 520 looks like a great ssd though, so I can definitely see the attraction :D
