I have an Acer Aspire 5930G and I would like to upgrade the hard drive to a SEAGATE Momentus XT, the new model with 8GB NAND.

Sorry for the noob question: is this drive compatible with my laptop and more in general, is it compatible with any laptop?

    From the specs:

    Expansion / Connectivity:

    Interfaces : 1 x Serial ATA-600

    Compatible Bays : 1 x internal - 2.5" x 1/8H

Can I assume all the laptops in the market today use this connection?

    Thanks
