I sold a Samsung 840 PRO for a guy and it ran fine on his DELL laptop. Now after 2 weeks he calls me and tells me that he cannot see the DVD Drive in Computer but when he puts a CD in the drive he can hear it spinning so I don't think I accidentally disconnected his DVD Drive while upgrading, what could be the issue? how to solve it?

Is the media drive visible in BIOS?

This thread doesn't show if the original problem was fixed but I recently had a similar problem after adding another internal drive.

It was fixed by going into Disk Management and reallocating a drive letter to the optical drive.

Thanks for reminding me, it was as simple as you said. when we added the SSD and the HDD, the HDD took the drive D: letter, hence why the DVD Driver disappeared, We simply right clicked on the DVD drive in Disk Management and assigned it a new letter :)
