I just found my Toshiba's older 512 ram and stuck it on my ibm. The thing is, the ram on my x60s is 1gb this is 512. Totalling 1.5gb. The brand of the two sticks are different and don't look the same, they are the same pin numbers. Anything to worry about here? They seem to work fine.

Nothing to be worried about here, as long as the notebook started up fine and OS detected the increase in the memory from 1GB to 1.5GB.

Run Memtest86+ if you're worried, but usually mixing brands works fine.

You will only have a problem mixing brands when the latencies are different, but with laptops, the DDR667 RAM will only have a CL of 5, so there will be no issue. When running memtest86, remember to do it on each stick individually, otherwise you might get false errors.
