Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 2200 notebook and would really love to have the aero effect on my Windows Vista Home Premium. Is there any way that I would be able to upgrade my Intel 915 Chipset in my notebook? I don't want to buy a completely new notebook, but would only like to upgrade what I need to.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks and cheers,

    Josh

It's not going to happen, at least not on this planet. Sorry.

Oh well, I thought that was how it was going to end up. Intel could write a driver, but want more money I guess... Whatever.

    Thanks for the help!

Aero reportedly works just fine on the Vista Beta versions with the GMA 900.

The GMA 900 cannot run Aero since lacks of WDDM driver support (read the link above), otherwise I don't know what is reported...

There is driver support for it in the Vista Beta's but not in the final version.
