Can anyone advise me on how to get these tiny screws out of the HDD platter (not sure the technical name for it; the plate that the HDD slides into)? I bought a 500 GB Western Digital HDD and was hoping to get that in here, but I have it sitting in an external enclosure at the moment. It's frustrating getting everything together and then hitting a road block like this.

One of the screws came out easily, but the other three are all stripped. They're not awfully damaged, but just enough that I can't get my screwdriver to work them.

You are referring to the harddrive caddy.
If the screw is not coming out, you can try using a pair or needlenose pliers, to try and remove the screw. If that does not work, try using a flat head screwdriver or a TORX screwdriver to remove the screw.
If all of those options fail, grab a dremel or any rotary tool, and cut a notch into the screw head so that you physically turn the screw into a flat head screwdriver. Than use a larger flat head and remove the screw.
