    Hi there!
I'm using Toshiba Satellite A205 S5800 with GL960 chipset and Celeron M 540 1,86GHz processor, it's really too slow for me, because sometimes I like to play NBA Live 08 and.. it doesn't work perfectly. I have read here, that GL960 can be upgraded to T5450, but I'm not sure it will work on my laptop. Here is screen of my motherboard from CPU-Z:

My question is: It is possible to upgrade my Celeron to Core 2 Duo T5450? both are socket P.

Sorry for my english, but I'm from Poland
    Thanks :)

It is possible... but not guaranteed to work. The GL960 only officially supports Celerons and Pentium Dual-Cores, but most seem to work fine with 667MHz FSB Socket P processors, and some seem to work fine with 800MHz FSB Socket P processors. I think there's a really good chance that the T5450 will work, but as I said, it's not guaranteed.

Yeah, I know that my chipset officially supports only Celerons and Dual-Cores, but when I saw post about successfull upgrade GL960 to T5450 I thought, that it have to work on my laptop, because that's the same chipset, but it's not the same notebook, so the best way is buy T5450, connect it to socket and turn on notebook :) Thanks for your answer, Wolf :)

Make sure your BIOS is at the latest revision prior to the update --it will give you the best chance for success.

    Hi.
I have another question. As LoneWolf said, I want to upgrade BIOS, but I'm not sure how to do this.. My notebook is Toshiba Satellite A205-S5800, so, can I use ACPI Flash BIOS Version 2.50 from here and upgrade it with this tutorial of Windows based BIOS update for notebooks?
My current BIOS is Phoenix, version 1.80.
Thanks for answers and goodnight ;)
