    Hi,

Does anyone know if the 128mb 8400M GS and 256mb 8600M GT chipsets will fit into the same space (height and width) as each other? I have a 8600M GT that I will transfer over from my Vostro 1500. The motherboard is an Intel PM965.

    Thanks.

It will not work physically. Have you considered heat? And the 8xxx has heat issues. Won't work but even if it did bad idea.

    Sorry.

They are soldered on, therefore making extremly difficult to do that.

    The 8400 isnt integrated.
But still, you can't upgrade, its soldered on the motherboard.

The 8400 GS is physically on the motherboard, so isnt that integrated?
