Hey guys, I am currently using a Fujitsu MHV2120BH 5400 rpm 120gb hd in my sager 5760. I love to make videos using fraps but never can run on a full resolution and I somewhat blame my HD recording speed. I have oc my cpu to about 2.3~ and did everything possible to make gameplay (WoW) as smooth as possible using fraps but just no luck. I was thinking about saving some money and buy a new computer entirely but figured this may be a decent solution. My Laptop specs should be in my Sig.

Any thoughts or suggestions on the best laptop HD i can buy would be great if that is a option. Thanks :p

I am not sure a hard drive will be the answer to your problem. If you are wanting to run at full resolution while using FRAPs, I would think that this is more dependant on your GPU than your hard drive.

If your hard drive light is on solid while recording, then it probably is the hard drive that is holding you back.

Your computer is still decent; a hard drive upgrade can't hurt your performance so I would go for it. Also, you can always take the hard drive out and put it in a new computer should you decide to do that in the future.
