Recently i have ran out of room on my laptop and i am looking to upgrade to a bigger harddrive. Currently i have a 80GB harddrive but i do not know what to look at for a replacement since my harddrive slides in on the side.
Any suggestions?

That side thing is a 'caddy' and you can purchase any 2.5" SATA150 (also called SATA1.5, SATA-I) 9.5mm thick hard drive.
Slide caddy out, remove old drive, insert new drive, slide caddy in. -
I would presume that your laptop has a SATA port....you should probably read the first few pages of this
Short in short 7200rpm hdds will give you more speed (faster loading and booting times) and heat whereas the 5400rpm hdds will be good for battery life..!!
If budget is not a problem go for the 320gig 5400rpm drives....or the Hitachi 7K200 (if you can get a cheap deal)..(but not for the Hitachi 5K500)..!!
