Presently have 512mb ram installed. I bought 1gb of PC2700 DDR 333 at Best Buy and installed it in the slot underneath the computer. The computer did not light up. Do I have to remove the 512 from its slot and replace it with 1gb. If so how do I do that?
    Thanks
    Yunko

Did you install it correctly? It should work, if not try switching the sides, ie: put the 1GB where the 512MB was and vice versa.

And if it works, I would highly recommend to test the ram for errors with MemTest86+
