    Upgrading Laptop Battery

    I am considering purchasing a mid-level Asus laptop, much like this one.

    They tend to come with a 6-cell battery and I would prefer more battery capacity, such as an 8, 9, or 12-cell battery. Are there any restrictions on what capacity battery will work and will there be a decrease in performance? Any information is greatly appreciated.

    Does this model offer alternative batteries? If not, I would recommend against getting a 3rd party claiming that would work.
