    Hello--I hope someone can help!

I recently replaced memory in one slot of my Dell E1705; I made sure to sure both memory plug-ins were all the way in... However, they are not registering in my computer. When I go to control panel, system, general... it shows the added memory, but I'm still recieving messages from my computer that I have less than 200 MB left.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks
    Rebecca

well, the obvious first. Did you get the right memory? Do you have to add it in like pairs, or what. When you first rebooted, did the bios pick up that the memory had changed?

Are you receiving Virtual memory errors(little warning ballon that pops up from the task bar)?

Also please list details like how much memory you had before and what did you replace it with and complete specification of your laptop(OS, CPU, HDD[and how much space you have left], RAM, etc)
