Hello, I have a Lenovo E40 and I'm pretty happy with it, however recently there was a need for me to run VMware workstation pretty much all the time, and I need some more horsepower by adding Ram. I'm also running out of the 250G's of space in my HDD.

I have installed the x64 edition of Win7 and it seems to run fine on my 2GB of RAM, but I was wondering if I could get a decent upgrade with around $200 or so.

I've seen two hard drives, 7200RPM, below, and I was wondering if they are compatible with my E40? (Sorry for the chinese)

    Samsung SpinPoint M8 (HN-M101MBB)
    Samsung/ÈýÐÇ 1TB 1000G HN-M101MBB SATA ±Ê¼Ç±¾Ó²ÅÌ(9.5MM)-ÌÔ±¦Íø

    Seagate Momentus 7200 750 GB 7200RPM (ST9750420AS)
    ȫРϣ½Ý750G 7200ת 16M 2.5´ç Ï£½Ý 750G ¸ßËÙ ±Ê¼Ç±¾Ó²ÅÌ-ÌÔ±¦Íø

Any recommendations between the two for my Lenovo?

My CPU is a Core i3-350M.

Also, is Kingston DDR3 RAM (1333Mhz) supported? I'm thinking of using 2x 4GB (as mentioned, I have a 64bit O/S)... or should I choose a different RAM type?

    ##

Also does anyone know by any chance where I can buy a Lithium Ion in 6 cell for my Lenovo? I can't seem to find them.. and my current one has already done 350 load cycles.

Thank you so much for your help

The Seagate will be a little more peppy due to the faster rotational speed.

The 1333MHz should work, but will downclock. I wouldn't pay extra for it.

I usually find the best prices for laptop batteries on eBay, but I don't know about China.

Hmm I got a hitachi after all, how does it look? Pretty happy with it so far, and it's a 1TB drive.
