    Hi can some1 tell me what type of RAM the Toshiba Satellite P100 supports??
    I know it can be upgraded to 4GB and it supports up to 667Mhz RAM speeds but what about the PC""""?? There are two types of 667Mhz ram i have seen.. PC5300 and PC5400..?? Does the laptop support both types??

    Any help will be much appreciated!!

    I believe that any SODIMM 200 pin pc5200 or 5300 should work, but it may be that toshiba uses proprietary ram for their notebooks - they recommend specifically type of kingston ram, I believe crucial makes it to their specs as well. I suspect the only difference, if any, is a slight alteration in the shape of the SODIMM that may be required to fit. I'd like to know this myself.

    I have a P100 just go it yesterday, I changed to pc5300 667 2-1g sticks of
    ram PNY, right away, because they were available at best buy (and are returnable) cost $89 each Gothic3 runs better now. the stock ram was samsung not kingston. I think the prices from manufactures on up-grades are way too high so i intend to do them myself.
