Different brands, specs the same. Brand does not matter to me as lifetime warranty and same specs no diff in performance. I am more familiar with Patriot as a "brand name" even though I say does not matter and is cheaper after rebate.
A little research and I found out Transcend was the first company in the world to offer a lifetime warranty on all of its memory modules. As I have stated before ( link) brand Makes no difference to me with standard notebook RAM. -
check review from newegg for each brand.

I see nothing wrong with reading reviews on NewEgg but since 3 to 10 user reviews are so statistically insignificant the benefit is questionable at best. The warranty and buying from a place like NewEgg are your protections, I go back to brand does not matter and the link I provided b/4

Between those to. I would perfer Trascend which works out since in this case that brand is cheaper. Although it probably doesn't really matter. With RAM it pretty much either works or it needs to be returned.

The only RAM on newegg that is any different at PC5300 is the gskill, with a latency (and maybe the timing) at a little bit lower than the other types of RAM. Same price range.

Help guys. I'm getting a new Vostro 1500 + 4GB ram G-skill. I wonder if the core 2 duo T5270 (1.4GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache) is suitable with 4GB? I mean thaz balance between CPU and RAM? or should I get a higher CPU (like T7250 or uppers)?
