Well, I'm in the market to purchase more ram for my laptop. And I was wondering,
Which of these do you think is better?
    G.SKILL 4GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)
This one as it says is DDR3 1333 10666 and costs $169.99

Naturally, I would go for the cheapest one but I've never used G Skill RAM before so I'm one the edge on buying G Skill RAM. Corsair seems to be the best memory company out there right now. Which one do you think I should buy?
Attached below is my memory info from CPU-Z
    I have DDR3 1333 PC3-10700

Neither one of those companies actually "makes" the memory. It is going to be Samsung, Hynix, Elpida(probably the best), etc. I took the heat spreaders off my Kingston HyperX and it was Elpida.

I've used G.Skill in the past without issues. I'd go with that since it's much cheaper.

My second choice would be Crucial.

There's no difference between memory brands because, as noted, there are only a few companies that actually produce the memory chips. Even that distinction makes no difference. Aside from specs, all you need to pay attention to are the warranty and price.

Would it be worth the extra fifty though? Both offer a limited lifetime warranty.

Both are great products there! Nice choice! But Corsair is a better brand so they are more experienced in designing the PCB and have higher quality. For me I will definately choose Corsair my friend!

Just buy the cheapest option there is available. So that means the G.Skill.

Unless you can show me some solid proof of this, I'm going to say this is completely false. Especially since Corsair doesn't actually make their own memory...

See that word "maybe" that you used when writing that? You used it because I imagine you have no real proof to back up this claim. sgogeta4 is right.

The spd can be different from module to module. That's why the HyperX memory has different timings rather than the JEDEC standards. If you can flash your own spd on the module then you can buy anything you want.

Given the second sentence I read it as a rhetorical question. My point still stands.

If you have an iota of proof that Corsair would be in any way better post it. Otherwise don't mislead people into wasting money for a specific brand.

you dont seem to be agree with people posting their "opinions" , if everyone had to research and post their "proof" then you would see this forum much-much less inactive

theres no reason not to allow posting opinion , the thread starter just need to ask if he doubt the validity of the post

Everyone is entitled their own opinion, but when other users start claiming something is better, it's always better to back it up with a reason - even if it's just from your personal experience. An opinion on itself doesn't lend itself much to answer the OP's question and if you want to advise someone on a purchase, it isn't unreasonable to request something to backup your statement.
