Hey Guys, I was just given an Alienware m17x as a gift. I was stoked when I found out it came with the quad core 9100, but was a little bummed to find out that it just had a single Nvidia gtx 260 1gb video card. I would like to add either a second, or upgrade both. I do know that it can be done, simply because the cards are not a part of the mother board; in fact, they are separate, and removable. Any help PLEASE!

Welcome to the NBR forums. :)

just contact your vendor (which is probably Alienware/Dell) and order a second GTX 260M card with SLI cable... then you can install it yourself.

next time post AW M17x questions in the Alienware section

The gtx 260m is not a bad mobile card to start with.

Yahh a single GTX260M still packs a punch... and if you want to get a GTX280M , contact dell/alienware.. because u need a dell version of the card..
