    As per the subject -

Outside chance this upgrade will work in my Toshiba Satellite laptop without any major issues? Am aware of possible BIOS incompatibility, etc, also, i5-3230M is USB 3.0, i5-2410M is USB 2.0.

The main benefit for me (in addition to a significant speed bump) is the HD4000 video, for better overall light gaming performance, relative to the 3000.

Also, the 3230M takes PC3-1600 memory, the 2410 takes only PC3-1333. Should I get the new, faster 1600 MHz RAM, and would thie 3230M run it at 1600 MHz?

    Any ideas?

If your CPU is even upgradable, it would only be so to another Sandy Bridge unit.
