    Hey,

So I have a laptop which has 750gb storage and I was thinking of getting SSD. What I was thinking is replacing my CD Drive with a HDD Caddy and then adding a 1TB 7200 drive in the caddy and buy a 250gb SSD for main OS.

I think that will give me a faster system and then lots of storage at the same time.

Moving stuff from the SSD to HDD always would be slow/annoying..how do you guys deal with that?

Suggestions are welcome on how I should proceed..

    Thanks

Unless your platform offers an mSATA or a form of NGFF connector, your plan seems spot on.

    Take care.

You should first see if there is a adapter for changing the cd bay to a HDD bay first before talking out the 750gig HDD currently in there. Then you can swap a SSD into the HDD spot but you need to know if it will recognize your HDD that is now in the place of the cd bay.
