I have a vicious ninja laptop. my hard drive went bad on me so i had it replaced. I am in middle east and the computer repair person put in a arabic harddrive replacement. Now not only is my 80G 7200rpm hard drive gone, but now i have a arabic replacement that is not as powerful and everytime i go to microsoft word, I have to keep switching from arabic to english every time I go to a different line, and its very annoying. I want to know what kind of American replacement harddrive I can order and have shipped here. I looked at newegg website for parts, and they had lots to choose from, but I dont know if i can use any. Please help

That has nothing to do with the hard drive.

The software he installed has defaulted to Arabic.

You do not mention if you have a Complete Microsoft Office Package installed but there should be an option to change the default language.

In Office 2003, you have to run Microsoft Office 2003 Language Settings under the Microsoft Ofice Tools in your program selector.

    Best regards and Merry Christmas.

Go into the Control Panel, double-click Regional and Language Options, go to the Advanced tab, and change the language.

For the harddrive, there are different brands in the market and PATA or SATA, you can consider to choose the same model with your own one, or choose another brand. Seagate and Hitachi are the best for 7200rpm laptop hard drive, you may check the price on the web, probably, you find out a cheaper price.
