    Upgrading laptop display - connector pins?

    So...unfortunately I wanted to upgrade a crappy 1366x768 display in my Toshiba A660 and it's a 40-pin connector and the only 40-pin 16-inch displays I can find are the same one that it comes with. The 16-inch displays with higher resolutions are all either 50-pin or 30-pin.

    Is there any way to work around that or am I just going to have to accept it can't be upgraded and move on? :p

    The screen that it comes with is the Samsung LTN160AT01; I'm looking at something like the Samsung LTN160HT02/3, if that offers any more information.
