    yes it's possible :)

    a T8100 / T8300 / T9300 will be better than T7250

Toshibas seem to be pretty forgiving when it comes to cpu upgrades (as far as the bios is concerned anyways). Good luck!

Any 800MHz FSB Socket P processor will work but personally , i would get T9300... best price for performance and it should run cool and way faster than ur old processor.

I have the same chipset (GL40) in my Satellite L355, and I had heard that an 800 FSB chip "will work" too. I put in a T6400 (replacing a Celeron 585), and while the BIOS recognized it and booted to the desktop, I could never get it to run stable without BSODing under anything CPU-intensive (in my case, video editing). I send the processor back and put in a T3400 instead (667 FSB instead of 800) and it's working perfectly.

All I can say is T6400 is a lot newer than the chipset..
to play safe go with T7xxx/T8xxx/T9xxx which are proven to compatible in 965 chipset..
since GL40 is placed between 965 and 45 chipset

and not to mention there are factors like defective cpu
