    Hey Guys,

I've got an interesting one for you....

    I have a laptop which is a ZooStorm W761K - currently has 1GB Ram and 1.6 Amd Athlon 64 processor (TF-20 1.6 GHz, Socket S1).

I've upgraded the ram to 4GB, however in windows 7 the laptop is running like pooh! I installed the CPU graph thingy and it shows 100% nearly all the time... so, I'm thinking a single core AMD can go in the bin - I would like to get a fairly decent dual core CPU for it.

I used CPU-Z which showed me the Motherboard is a Clevo M7x0K

A good 3 hours of google and research shows me there is hardly any details about this board, it is an OEM board thats rebranded all over the place.

On the AMD forum I found this when someone else asked the identical question, however some of the conversation which followed made me want a second opinion....
Its such a weird board I cannot even find a bios update for it :S

As for the fan and heatsink.... there is a standard fan about 5' diameter blowing the fins of a heatsink directly to the external vents of the case...

Hard to know what would make it overheat etc....

So, Firstly what CPU would you take an educated guess on being the best upgrade for speed?
Secondly - Any ideas how to get a bios update?

    Thanks in advance :)

Before trying a CPU upgrade I would first reinstall the OS. That could lead to some drastic results in itself.

    Hey,

Its a fresh install - I have noticed its a lot quicker since I changed the bios to IDE from AHCI mode... Its a million times quicker, but I'd still like a dual core CPU :)
