Hi,
i have an ACER laptop with 60 GB hard drive and 512 MB RAM. The processor is intel centrino mobile 1.6 GHZ.
I want to replace my internal hard disk of 60 GB with 120 GB. Can this be done in ACER Laptops.

i think iam having a 4200 rpm hard disk because it is very slow. can i replace it with 5400 rpm 120 gb internal drive. someone says that if the hard drive is upgraded, the form factor gets disturbed.

Your starting place is to identify your existing HDD model in Device Manager. You can then look up the full specification.
Ease of changeover depends on whether the HDD is under a cover on the bottom of the computer or whether you have to do more serious disassembly.
I recommend that you buy an external 2.5" HDD enclosure (interface to depend on HDD connector) and cloning software such as Acronis MigrateEasy. You can then copy you existing software installation to the new HDD and then install the new HDD and be able to start up with everything working.
Hope this helps,
John
