    Hey guys,
I want to upgrade my Aspire 3020's ram to 1GB. On ebay there are people selling 1GB laptop ram for around £50, how do I know if it will work on my laptop? At the moment my laptop has 512mb ram, (2x 256 PC2700).
    Cheers
    Alex

    Hello and welcome.

Please provide the link to the ram you want. Or follow this configuation, PC2700 DDR333. If the ram's configuation is not the same, then it doesnt work.

As long as the specifications on the RAM you are going to buy are similar to the RAM you currently have, then in such case the RAM should work. But in some rare cases certain RAM might not be compatible with your system even though they have the same specifications then that is a risk you will have to take especially if you are buying through ebay or such places where there arent any warranties.
