Hi guys I recently ordered my NP8662 with a single stick of 2 GB ram (coming in 2 days), I was planning on buying the second 2 gb stick myself. I was wondering how closely does the second stick of RAM have to match the first, ie speed, manufacturer.
Thanks for any info! (and sorry if it's already posted somewhere)

Same type ( DDR2, DDR3 ), and preferabbly speed ( though will downclock itself to match the slowest speed ).
The kind of ram you should be looking for is DDR3-1066mzh Ram. Manufacturer doesnt really matter.
Also, make sure it is a "SO-DIMM" and not a "DIMM", the difference being that they are laptop and desktop memory, respectively. -
search for "2gb ddr3 204pin"
and you'll find what you need -

that should do it!
you are welcome! -
Many thanks guys
