    Hey,
So i've been reading online about upgrading the graphics card on an Alienware M5750 and it seems I should be able to put most standard MXM Type III & II in the slot. Well the problem now is where to get these cards? Ebay has only older cards on it as well as MXM-Upgrade only sells older cards currently. Eurocom carries them however their cards seemed to be designed specifically for Clevo laptops having the special HE connector on the card which will not fit into my alienware. Any suggestions on where I can buy perhaps an Nvidia 9800m GTS or an ATI Mobility Radeon 3870? Thank you.

Well, the cards in the Clevo system have also been used in MSI and Alienware systems, even with an MXM-III connector (the HE tab will stick out, but it will still work). As for the 3870s, Depending on when the 4870 cards are available for upgrade for people with Arima W840-based systems, you may see an influx of them here sooner or later.

Or, you can try to convince MSI to sell you a 4850 card from an MSI GT725, which is an MXM-III card too.

Yea I know the parts in Clevo systems are similar however this card will not fit into mine because of that extra connector. I already saw an online post of a poor soul who ordered the HE connector card and tried to fit it in with no luck. Also what do you think my chances are with MSI part ordering?

Your best bet is to buy the card from RJTECH, Z-TRONICS, EBAY or MXM-UPGRADE

A notebookreview member "ice-tea" runs MXM-Upgrade. Ask him what he has for your system, hopefully he can get you a fast card at a good price

I tried RJTech and the outsourced tech support told me they only carry cards for clevo systems not regular mxm cards, not sure if he even knew what I was talking about but does anyone know the clevo equivalent of an alienware m5750?
