Hello I'm new to this forum and need a little help with something. I very recently bought an Acer Aspire 5520-5912 laptop. I really like the computer however I am looking to upgrade the Ram in hopes that it will perform a little better while playing some of the games I have.

The trouble I am having is how to go about removing the compartment covering the memory. Most laptops just have a square or rectangle covering the memory but the one on this computer is shaped a little differently so I cannot figure out how to get it off of the computer to get at the Ram. I removed the four screws that hold it in place and it still does not want to come off. I don't want to pry on it to hard as I don't want to break anything. Am I missing something or maybe there's some trick to getting it off of this comp?

Any help would be great thanks.

I just bought this laptop too and struck the same issue. Then I searched Google and found your posting .... you can pry off the cover - it's not that easy - start on one side and keep working around and it eventually comes off. It was a little easier to push back in. Goodluck.
