Reviews say the touchpad on the E530 is crap when, for the price, the rest of the computer isn't bad at all. Is it possible to somehow swap out the E530s touchpad to one not as jittery etc?
Thanks

No.
As for the quality of the entire machine, E series are no more than glorified base-level IdeaPads with a TrackPoint. Do not expect much from it, quality-wise.
If you're predominantly a touchpad user, there are likely better offerings out there.
Good luck. -

I doubt you'd be able to do this; touchpads are proprietary to the notebook model. They are not sold individually e.g. no generic touchpads exist.
You'd be surprised what you can do via software to change the character of a touchpad though.
Personally I'd skip the E530 if the reviews say the touchpad is bad and having a good touchpad is a priority. There are numerous other notebooks around that price point. -
The Microsoft arc usb mice are quite compact.
