Hello all, I have a Toshiba L305-S5915 laptop with 4gb ram, 320gb 7200rpm drive and a T3400 processor. I just ordered a new wireless N router and I was wondering if there is a way to upgrade the stock Artheros (sp?) G radio to a N radio. Thanks in advance.

Assuming that Toshiba doesn't have a whitelist in the BIOS [as with ThinkPads], you should be able to pick up any generic mini PCI-e 802.11n enabled card and drop it in. Also assuming that your laptop has three antennas/receivers [if purchasing a wlan card with three receivers. Also assuming that your Toshiba utilizes the mini PCI-e cards.

You must do some research. There are half height and standard height mini PCI-e cards.

Thanks for the answer, I tried to poke around on the Toshiba site as well as the Intel site for information. All I got was that it comes with an Atheros G wireless card. I'll try to dig for more info.

Ok, the wireless card in my Laptop is an Atheros 5007EG card. It is a mini pci-e card, but I don't know how many antennas or any other information like that.
