    Use VGA to connect ps3 to vostro 1500?

    So,can i conncect my ps3 to my pc via VGA? I want to do walkthroughs without using my camera.But i want to know if fraps will work for recording and will it affect the frames if i use my ps3.

    not unless you have vga input on the pc

    You can only connect it to a VGA imput, which a computer usually will not have. You definetely won't be able to use Fraps with it.

    Are there any other recording programs? I dont want ot use a vid cam since quality would be lost.

    Look for a capture card. There aren't any programs I know of that can record.

    your GPU has a LVDS connector to which your laptop is connected and a VGA and/or HDMI connector to which you can connect a second external display.
    As the others said those ports are only outputs, no input.

    To still record videos you can either use a camcorder or TV card which you directly connect to your PS3 composite or S-Video out, don't record your TV screen. This way you shouldn't lose that much quality, because you record in standard definition, enough for most PS3 games :p
    To record in high definition you have to use the HDMI port. To record video signals on a HDMI connector you need a little more expensive card like the BlackMagic Intensity Pro which should be able to record your PS3 HDMI output video.

    Maybe others have better solutions, but I don't know another way at the moment.
