I have my oem power adapter that puts out:
Input: 100-240V 1.7A 50-60Hz
output: 18.5V 3.5A 65W
I also have a dell power adapter with a hp converter that allow me to plug the dell power adapter into my HP. The specification of the dell power adapter are:
Input: 100-240V 1.7A 50-60Hz
output: 19.5V 3.34A
Can I use the dell power adapter? Without hurting my battery.

Yes you shoud be able too without blowing things up. Notebooks usually have a voltage tolerance for lower and high voltages.
They are both rated for 65w. (Volts x Amps = Watts) -
Yeah you can do it no worries, I've done this many many times nothing to worry about.
(Just incase something does blow up though, it wasnt me!)

If the power adaptor works it works, if it doesnt the system will reject it.
Almost every dell and hp has a impedance matching system which makes sure you are using the right power adaptor.
I do not know what kind of converter you are using, but I kinda doubt its going to work.
