I currently am running my Xbox 360 on a 20" CRT moniter and I desperatly want to play in HD. I also currently have a nic HP Pavilion zd8000e with a beautiful 17" screen at a resolution of 1650 x 1050. Is it possible for me to use my laptop as a moniter and somehow hook up my X360 to it and play games in HD?

I think the only way that would be possible, was if you had a HD TV Tuner card, and plugged the Xbox into the system that way. Otherwise I don't think you can unfortunatly

You should be able to with an HD TV Tuner card, however just be sure you get the right one, some Tuner cards have "lag" caused by (I believe) hardware encoding which means that you couldn't use it to play any games.
I currently use an Avermedia TV Cardbus Card, which while not HD, does work for my PS2 quite nicely. -
Only very high end laptops have built in TV Tuners And Built in Video Inputs. You need a USB/PCI TV Tuner, and plug your Xbox via Composite/Component/VGA depending on the Tuner. However, there a lag of a few milliseconds and the decoding to change the video into the correct format seriosly reduces picture quality, often down to a rather pitiful 640 x 480 (XGA) resolution.
Using a notebook as a moniter.
