    Hi, I have a quick and rather dumb question. Can you use semi-magnetized tools such as a Phillip's screw driver to remove the screws from a notebook without worry of doing any harm to the notebook itself?

    It's fine, as long as its not a super magnetic, now that will damage it. Though it doesn't mean you should place the magnetized head on the HD and move it above it in circular motions :p

    If you do that just move it in counter clockwise motion. It should fix it. :D :eek: :cool:
