    VAIO AR TV Tuner questions

    I have a question to AR owners. How is it that Sony says the TV tuner is "built in"? The Sonystyle operator said that it is not and that it requires an external device which is to be plugged into an outlet.

    You'll see what looks like an antenna jack on the notebook.

    In short my question are these:
    (a) Can I take my laptop (all 8lbs) to a park and watch the digital TV that is being broadcast in the air?

    (b) Is the external box used only to connect to HD cable?

    1. If you bring an antenna.

    2. You connect to HD cable with the same coax as an antenna.

    Just to add none of these Tuners work w/digital cable, I think, and am very certain on this.
